The Bjork Song
I love the way! You shake that thing! That bjo-bjo-bjo-bjo-bjork! Oops, wrong song. And thank goodness! A far cry from Sisqo's maddeningly memorable summer hit, L. Fitzgerald Sjoberg's ditty is a touching quantum physics love song, of sorts, about everyone's favorite kooky Icelandic songbird.

Vague Editor Fitness Quiz
Would you rather die than give up Diet Coke? Can you air-kiss like mad? Are you dangerously thin and overbred? If so, you may have what it takes to become an editor of Vague, the magazine for those who love to hate Vogue.

Behold, the Majesty of Dame Darcy
Dame Darcy produces Meat Cake, a funny, morbid, goth-ish comic book. She's also a dollmaker and a musician. Imagine if Vincent Price and Edward Gorey had fathered a child with Grace Kelly, and you'll begin to understand the grande dame.

Marigold
Marigold is the brainchild of Audra Estrones and many other brilliant & lovely Canadian women. It's primarily an online community for Canadians (and their wannabe hangers-on, such as your writer), but it's also a fascinating resource for anyone who wants to know what it's like to be female and Canadian right now. I foresee many non-paperwriting hours spent there, and I can't hardly wait.

Safe & Sound

That's how I made it to Toronto, friends. In one piece, unscathed, and not interrogated by immigration officials.

The city is clean, people are friendly, and nobody seems to think that jaywalking is their god-given right. To be honest, that third one is really wigging me out right now. I live to jaywalk. Well, that and a few other things, but jaywalking is right up there.

My ethernet connection is (allegedly) due to be up sometime before the end of the week, so please bear with me while I postpone resumption of daily links for yet a few more days.
